NEW
Carmen has been hard at work promoting, recording,
rehearsing, booking and performing over the past few years.
Carmen just finished co-writing a track for the upcoming album with highly talented and established songwriter Paul Statham who has produced the song as well. Paul has also written for Dido (Co-wrote "Here with Me" and "No Angel") and Kylie Minogue!! With the help of her Marketing/Promotions Manager, Melanie Tromp, Carmen is very excited to release her latest material soon!
Carmen's song "After" has been featured in the action-flick Deaden, which premiered in Canada to fantastic reviews at the Fantasian Film Festival in Montreal. Initially, being such a peaceful person person herself, Carmen was somewhat hesitant about her music being in such a violent film, but passion is passion and the film’s creator’s are very passionate about what they do.
In 2005 she wrapped recording her latest EP with Producer, John Webster (Tom Cochrane, David Bowie, Cher, Aerosmith).

is your favorite! Music from the Ep was showcased on BFBS Radio in the UK this week! Click link to listen (Carmen comes in at 12:22). She is currently completing the full length album with Producer Hayden Cyr. She chose to work with Hayden because she fell in love with his song Breath on My Hand and felt he would understand the direction she was planning to take with the newest tracks.

PAST NEWS...
The song "Home" from the new cd was just entered into the prestigious
UK Songwriting Contest 2005 and Carmen was selected as a semi-finalist
"judges considered her work to be among the best songs entered this year."

Just having returned
from a sucessful trip to the Western Canadian Music Awards and Festival
(where she was a showcased performer) Carmen is in talks with some recent
contacts and is formulating her hush hush plans for the coming year.
She spent the summer promoting her demo EP Chameleon and is now focused
on writing more songs. Carmen is feeling the writing bug and is looking
forward to what is going to happen in the next few months. Here are some
new highlights...
Carmen has been doing a lot of songwriting so if you come to a future
show you'll hear some new songs! Carmen recently did some guest vocals
for Steve Campbell of St.Vitus Dance.
Earlier this year, Carmen
received a Demo grant from Factor to record a demo which she is pushing
to industry professionals. |
